The Department of Humanities and Sciences is functioning since inception. Humanities department includes disciplines, namely, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Management. It`s faculty offers a wide spectrum of courses at the Diploma, Maritime and B.Tech levels.

The Department of Humanities and Sciences plays a unique and distinctive role in an Institute where the ethos of science and technology prevails. It is believed that engineering and science are, by their very nature, humanistic and socially derived enterprises. Hence a complete science and technology education must include such subjects where the students unite application of scientific principles along with human, moral and social understanding.

Chemistry Laboratory :

This laboratory consists of the basic infrastructure for the conduct of Chemistry Practical and other tests for evaluating the chemical and physical parameters of portable water. The list of equipments and accessories are:

Physics Laboratory :

The department has full-fledged physics lab with dark room facility. More than 20 students can be accommodated in a batch. The labs are equipped with the Heat Electricity, Light and mechanics related experiments. A language is also available to improve the communication skills of the students.
